5 Reasons Students Should Get a Block Plan

By: Sereni Lao, Multimedia Communications Student Worker

  1. Nutrition: Ensure You Have a Full Meal When On Campus

We get it, school takes up most of your time. The Block Plans guarantee you get a full meal whenever you're on campus. We like to offer a full meal to students because sometimes just buying a burger or two pizza slices just isn’t enough. You’re busy and need to make sure to eat enough food. Block Plans round out your meals by adding sides such as fries to go with your burger or some fruit as a side to your sandwich.

  1. Freedom: Pick and Choose When to Use Your Plan

Say goodbye to that only use it or lose it system. These Block Plans are designed to make sure you are getting what you paid for. If you decide to purchase a block plan you have up to two years to use your meals. This is to make sure you have enough time to use your meals and you don’t have to fear losing out on your purchase if you don’t use all your meals in one school year.

  1. Reduces Stress: Don’t  Worry about Cooking/Bringing a Lunch

As college students we understand that you guys are busy whether it be because of work, studying, or being a part of student orgs/groups. It can be super stressful to think about making lunch or cooking food to eat at school -  not to mention having to find the time and energy to go to the grocery shop - which is why we’re here. Now we’re not forcing you to always eat with us, but for those days when you just don’t feel like packing food, you can easily have a meal on campus.

  1. Cost-Effective: You’ll Save Money

Did you know that meal plans for students don’t have added tax? That helps keep our prices lower. In addition to that, we give you a discounted rate for our Block Plans. We work hard to keep our prices low and fair.

  1. Flexibility: Get a Variety of Meal Options

Dining Services designed these meal plans to provide you with a variety of meals so you have the option to eat something different every day. You have the option to choose between all the stations in the Plaza Food Court, a meal in Superior Dining Center, at Northern Shores Coffee Shop, and at The Grind.
