Kristin Kirtz-Trelstad is a Marketing & Communications Professional at UMD Dining Services, a position she has held since August 2019. Prior to UMD Dining, Kristin was a journalist for the Hillsboro Banner and the Worthington Daily Globe, a Communications Specialist for the Center for Rural Health at the University of North Dakota, a Web Marketing Coordinator at Faster Solutions, and an Implementation Specialist at ARI Network Solutions. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Multimedia Journalism.
She has been recognized for her achievements, receiving 1st Place in Agriculture Reporting from the North Dakota Newspaper Association and the 2018 Game Changer Award at ARI.
Kristin enjoys spending her free time cuddling with her dogs, singing karaoke, and curling. This passion for curling has led to her chairing the communications committee at the Duluth Curling Club.
Kristin loves working for UMD Dining Services because it allows her to combine her passion for marketing and communications with her enthusiasm for food. She enjoys the wide range of responsibilities and opportunities that come with this position and the ability to work with a variety of people on a daily basis.
