Maggie McLeod-Shovein M.B.A.

Assistant Director of Business and Strategy

Maggie McLeod-Shovein is the Assistant Director of Business and Strategy for Dining Services at the University of Minnesota Duluth. She began her career with UMD Dining Services in 2006, after working in a variety of roles, including in a Chinese restaurant, a housewares store, a nursing home, and a doctor's office. When she started at UMD Dining Services, she came in as a Cashier. The energy of the students compelled her to go back to school and finish her undergrad degree. Not long after completing her BA, she became a supervisor.

Maggie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and Marketing from the College of St. Scholastica and went on to earn her Master of Business Administration with a focus in Marketing from the same institution.

When she is not working, Maggie enjoys traveling, reading, and learning. She loves working with UMD Dining Services, because she loves being part of a team that is passionate about food, service, and growth.
