Channie McCall

Executive Chef

 

Channie McCall is the Executive Chef with UMD Dining Services, having started in December 2013. 

Before becoming the executive chef, Channie worked as a Sous Chef at UMD Dining, Cook at UMD Dining, Sous Chef at Fosters Kitchen Waikoloa, HI, Sous Chef at Daylight Mind Coffee Co. Kona, HI, Lead Line Cook At Sara’s Table Duluth, MN, and Sous Chef at Ledge Rock Grille (Larsmont Cottages) Two Harbors, MN. 

Channie has been recognized for her culinary skills, being a Bronze Medalist in the 2016 NACUFS (ACF) Culinary Challenge and a Silver Medalist in 2018 and 2022 for the NACUFS (ACF) Culinary Challenge and ACF Team Competition respectively. 

When not working, Channie enjoys spending time with her family, including her two daughters, 5 and 27, and two granddaughters, 4 and 3. She and her husband also have a passion for redesigning and remodeling homes.

Channie loves working for UMD Dining Services, as it has given her the opportunity to travel, hone her culinary skills through competitive cooking, and learn about Global foods.
